FAQ on DPF/FAP cleaning machines
What is the difference between DPF washing and thermal regeneration?
Thermal regeneration burns the soot, but on its own it does not remove incombustible ash, such as oil residues and the cerium-oxide additive used in many FAP systems. Hydrodynamic washing removes both soot and ash, at low temperature and without thermal stress on the monolith.
Which filters can be treated?
DPF and FAP particulate filters and, with dedicated adapters, also GPF, SCR filters and catalysts. The adapter set is defined based on the filters you work on.
Do I need to cut the filter canister?
No. The filter connects to the machine through connection adapters: no cutting or welding on the housing.
How much does a DPF cleaning machine cost?
The price depends on the model, the adapter set and the options chosen, such as automatic liquid top-up or automatic chemical dosing. Contact us for a tailored quotation.
Can I have a single filter regenerated without buying the machine?
